The Blotter: Thursday, August 19

Direct from SFPD, we have word that a man was shot and killed in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood just after midnight this morning. He had apparently gotten into a fight with a group of young men, one of whom punched him in the face and shot him multiple times. The suspects fled the scene, ditching the gun in a mailbox on the 500 block of O’Farrell Street. Police recovered the gun soon after, but the suspects are at large.

Also early this morning, a woman woke up in her Bush St. apartment to find a man rifling through her belongings. She yelled and the man fled through the window, apparently joining a group of friends on the street. No arrests have been made. From around the web, we have more news:
